Summary

This study tested whether a supplement called Striatin, made from snakehead fish extract, can help severely malnourished children gain weight and reduce inflammation. Thirty children received either Striatin or a placebo alongside standard nutritional therapy. Researchers measured weight gain, inflammatory markers, and gut bacteria changes to see if the supplement provides extra benefits.
