Can simple breathing exercises protect young hearts from stress?
NCT ID NCT07172152
Summary
This study is testing whether a simple breathing exercise program can help young adults from minority backgrounds reduce stress and lower their risk of heart disease. Participants with a family history of heart problems will practice guided breathing techniques for four weeks while researchers measure stress levels and heart health markers. The goal is to find accessible, non-drug ways to prevent heart disease in high-risk groups.
