Can stress management be the missing link for weight loss in black women?
NCT ID NCT04335799
Summary
This study is testing whether adding culturally-relevant stress management techniques to a standard weight loss program helps Black women with obesity lose more weight. Over 300 participants are randomly assigned to receive either the standard program or the enhanced version with stress management. The goal is to see if managing stress helps with both initial weight loss and maintaining it over a year.
