Squeeze or listen: simple tools tested to calm First-Time donors
NCT ID NCT07300618
Summary
This study tested whether simple, non-drug methods could make the platelet donation process easier for people. Researchers had 102 first-time platelet donors try squeezing a stress ball or listening to instrumental music during their donation, while a third group received standard care. They measured the donors' anxiety, stress, and pain levels before and after to see if these methods helped.
