First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study looked at whether using a stress ball or listening to music during platelet donation can lower anxiety, stress, and pain. 102 first-time donors were split into three groups: one squeezed a stress ball, one listened to instrumental music, and one received standard care. The goal was to see if these simple, drug-free methods help donors feel more comfortable during the procedure.
