First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at whether a 12-week strength and power training program could improve movement patterns, physical fitness, and leg strength in Chinese college sports dancers. Thirty healthy female dancers with at least one year of experience took part. They were split into two groups: one did strength training three times a week, and the other did not. The researchers measured things like balance, muscle strength, jump power, and dance performance before, during, and after the training, and again after eight weeks of no training.
