Lifting weights while fighting cancer: new study tests strength training during Chemo-Radiation

Summary

This study looks at whether a supervised strength-training program is safe and doable for people with locally advanced rectal cancer who are getting chemotherapy and radiation before surgery. Fifteen participants will do personalized strength exercises twice a week for about 24 weeks. The goal is to see if the program helps maintain muscle, reduce fatigue, and improve quality of life.
