New training program aims to keep seniors independent despite memory loss
NCT ID NCT03913637
Summary
This study tested whether a training program called Strategy Training could help older adults with mild cognitive impairment (early memory problems) maintain their ability to perform daily tasks like shopping and managing medications. It compared the training to standard care in 105 older adults living at home. The goal was to see if learning new strategies could slow down the loss of independence, even if underlying brain changes were present.
