New radiofrequency method tested to calm stubborn shingles pain

Summary
This study tests a new type of pulsed radiofrequency (STP) against the standard type for treating postherpetic neuralgia, a painful nerve condition that can last months after shingles. About 100 adults whose pain has not responded to usual treatments will receive one of the two procedures. The main goal is to see which method better reduces pain levels.
