Cancer patients may get Drug-Free break in new trial

NCT ID NCT05192122

Summary

This study is testing whether multiple myeloma patients who show no detectable cancer after stem cell transplant can safely stop their long-term maintenance medications. Researchers will follow 50 patients who have been on maintenance therapy for at least two years and have undetectable cancer levels. The goal is to see if stopping these drugs doesn't cause the cancer to return, potentially improving quality of life while maintaining disease control.
