Precision radiation may stall cancer spread in lung cancer patients

NCT ID NCT02756793

First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times

Summary

This study looks at whether giving focused, high-dose radiation (SABR) to a small number of growing cancer spots can help people with advanced lung cancer stay stable longer. About 90 adults with non-small cell lung cancer that has spread and is growing in just a few places will either continue their usual treatment alone or also receive SABR to those spots. The main goal is to see if this approach delays the next time the cancer gets worse.
