Summary
This study tests whether a structured communication tool, called the StOP?-protocol, helps surgical teams talk more clearly during operations. The goal is to see if using this tool reduces deaths, unplanned return surgeries, and hospital stays. About 400 surgeons and their patients will take part, with some teams using the tool and others continuing as usual.
