No-knife kidney cancer treatment: new study tests radiation as a cure for inoperable patients

NCT ID NCT07299357

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at using a high-dose, targeted radiation therapy (SBRT) to treat kidney cancer in people who are too frail or at high risk for surgery. About 53 participants will receive this non-invasive treatment, which does not require anesthesia or a hospital stay. The goal is to see if SBRT can control the tumor and become a standard option for those who cannot undergo an operation.
