First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested two ways to care for the wound after stoma reversal surgery: a special vacuum dressing (negative pressure therapy) versus letting the wound heal naturally. 72 adults took part. The goal was to see which method led to fewer infections and better scarring. Results can help doctors choose the best wound care approach.
