New wound therapy may cut infections after stoma reversal
NCT ID NCT07258134
First seen Dec 08, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested two ways to heal wounds after stoma reversal surgery: a special vacuum dressing (negative pressure therapy) versus letting the wound heal naturally. 72 adults took part, and doctors checked for infection and scar quality. The goal was to see which method leads to fewer infections and better-looking scars.
