NCT ID NCT03814356
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 15, 2026 · Updated 29 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests a stimulant drug (methylphenidate) given through a vein to see if it's safe for people in a coma or minimally conscious state after a severe brain injury. Ten adults with traumatic brain injury will receive increasing doses while doctors watch for side effects like high blood pressure or fast heart rate. The goal is to find a safe dose that might help the brain become more aware.
