NCT ID NCT06698809
First seen Jan 15, 2026 · Last updated May 08, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a light-based treatment called transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) can reduce daytime sleepiness in people with obstructive sleep apnea who still feel tired even after using a CPAP machine. About 22 adults with moderate to severe sleep apnea who have been using CPAP for at least 3 months will receive tPBM. The goal is to see if this light therapy changes brain blood flow and improves alertness.
