First seen Jun 26, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026
Summary
This study looks at how to help cisgender women and transgender individuals, especially Black and Latinx communities, start and stick with PrEP—a daily pill that prevents HIV. Researchers will give personalized feedback to participants based on their adherence. The goal is to understand preferences and improve retention in care.
What this could mean

Active substance
Pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP) medication
What this could lead to
If successful, this could improve how clinics support women and trans individuals in staying on HIV prevention medication, reducing new infections.
What could go wrong
This is a small, early-stage behavioral study (175 participants) focused on feedback and preferences, not testing a new drug. Results may not apply to all populations or settings.
