Could a simple steroid pill boost vitiligo surgery success?

NCT ID NCT07472816

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests whether adding low-dose steroid pills to a standard vitiligo skin-cell transplant surgery helps prevent a pale ring around the treated area and improves overall skin color restoration. About 60 people with stable vitiligo will be randomly assigned to get surgery alone or surgery plus steroids. Results will be checked over 4 months to see which approach works better and is safer.
