Doctors test steroids to help cancer survivors regain speech and swallowing

NCT ID NCT04151082

Summary

This study is testing different doses of steroid medication to see if they can improve symptoms like trouble swallowing and speaking in people who survived head and neck cancer. These symptoms are caused by nerve damage from radiation therapy received at least two years ago. The trial will find the safest, most effective steroid dose and track changes in symptoms and quality of life.
