Scientists probe healthy lungs to crack code of severe asthma
NCT ID NCT02476825
Summary
This study aims to understand how inhaled steroids affect healthy lungs, not to treat a disease. Researchers will give a steroid inhaler to some healthy volunteers and compare their lung tissue samples to others who receive no treatment. The goal is to learn what changes are caused by the steroid itself, which will help identify better targets for future severe asthma treatments.
