First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This study looked at 160 people with heart disease who received either a biolimus-eluting or everolimus-eluting stent to open blocked arteries. The goal was to compare how well the blood vessel healed inside the stent at one and three months after placement, using a special camera called optical coherence tomography (OCT). The study did not test a new treatment but gathered detailed information on vessel healing patterns.
