Stem cell shots aim to mend painful finger sores in autoimmune disease
NCT ID NCT04356755
Summary
This study is testing whether injections of a patient's own processed fat cells can help heal stubborn, painful finger ulcers caused by scleroderma. It will compare the cell injections to a placebo in 32 adults with systemic sclerosis who have ulcers that haven't healed with standard care. The main goal is to see if the treatment safely helps the ulcers close and reduces complications.
