First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This early-stage trial will test whether injecting stem cells from donated umbilical cords into the lungs is safe for people with interstitial lung disease (ILD). Twenty-four adults with ILD will receive different doses through a bronchoscope. The main goal is to find the safest dose and watch for side effects, while also checking if lung function improves.
