Fat stem cells may boost shoulder surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT06505135
First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 10 times
Summary
This early-phase study tests whether adding stem cells from a patient's own fat tissue to standard rotator cuff surgery can improve healing and speed up recovery. About 30 adults with a torn rotator cuff will receive the stem cell injection during their operation. The goal is to see if this simple, minimally-invasive approach leads to better shoulder function and less pain compared to surgery alone.
