Stem cell shot tested to heal painful Crohn's complications in kids
NCT ID NCT04701411
Summary
This study tested a single injection of a stem cell treatment called darvadstrocel to see if it could help close complex perianal fistulas in children and teenagers with Crohn's disease. Participants first had minor surgery to clean the fistula, then received the injection. Researchers monitored them for up to a year to check if the fistulas closed and to record any side effects.
