Stem cell shot tested for healing Crohn's painful complications

NCT ID NCT06636032

Summary

This early-stage study is testing whether injections of donor stem cells can help heal painful fistulas (abnormal tunnels) in people with Crohn's disease. The trial is for patients whose fistulas haven't improved with standard surgery and medication. Researchers will test two different doses of the stem cell injection to see if it's safe and if it helps close the fistulas.
