New stem cell combo aims to stop lymphoma from spreading to the brain

NCT ID NCT07481669

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study tests a modified stem cell transplant regimen for lymphoma patients at high risk of the cancer spreading to the brain. About 45 adults who have already responded to initial treatment will receive high-dose chemotherapy with thiotepa, etoposide, cytarabine, and melphalan, followed by a transplant of their own stem cells. The goal is to see if this approach can improve how long patients live without the cancer getting worse, while being safer and more affordable than current options.
