New stem cell approach offers hope for blood cancer patients

Summary

This study is for people with certain blood cancers, like leukemia or lymphoma. It tests a stem cell transplant from a half-matched donor, using a special drug combo (treosulfan and fludarabine) plus low-dose radiation to prepare the body. The goal is to see if this approach helps the new stem cells grow and fight cancer without being rejected. About 60 adults will take part.
