Summary

This study tested whether injecting a person's own stem cells into the heart's arteries could improve pumping function after a heart attack. 90 adults with reduced heart function received either standard care or stem cells plus standard care. The goal was to see if the stem cells safely increased the heart's ejection fraction over 13 months.
