Summary
This study aims to find the best cholesterol-lowering strategy for people with both heart disease and prediabetes. It will compare a standard high-dose statin pill against a combination of a lower-dose statin plus another drug called ezetimibe. The main goal is to see which approach is better at lowering the risk of the patient developing full-blown diabetes while still protecting their heart.
