Doctors test if common heart drug helps or harms after brain bleed
NCT ID NCT03936361
Summary
This large study aims to find the best approach for patients who have a brain bleed while taking cholesterol-lowering statin drugs. It will test whether continuing or stopping the statin medication leads to better long-term health, including fewer repeat brain bleeds or other major heart and brain events. The study will also check if a person's genetic makeup should influence this decision.
