Study tests simple nudges to get more patients on cholesterol meds

NCT ID NCT05537064

Summary

This study is testing two simple reminder systems to see if they help doctors refer more eligible patients to a centralized pharmacy service for cholesterol medication (statin) management. The research involves nearly 2,000 patients and their doctors across multiple practices. The goal is to find better ways to connect patients who need cholesterol treatment with the pharmacy support that can help them start or adjust their medication.
