First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tests whether combining a statin with ezetimibe works better than a statin alone to lower LDL cholesterol below 70 mg/dL in people who recently had a stroke. About 300 adults with evidence of artery hardening and high cholesterol will be randomly assigned to one of the two treatments. The goal is to see if the combo helps prevent future strokes by controlling cholesterol more effectively.
