Double-Duty drugs: can a cholesterol combo stop a second stroke?

NCT ID NCT07307989

Summary

This study is testing if starting two cholesterol-lowering drugs together works better than one alone for people who recently had a stroke. The goal is to quickly get 'bad' cholesterol to a very low level to help prevent another stroke. About 300 patients in Taiwan who had a stroke within the last month will be randomly assigned to take either a single statin drug or a combination of a statin plus ezetimibe.
