Tiny skin punctures could boost creams and ointments

NCT ID NCT06004973

Summary

This small study tested a new tool called STAR particles on healthy volunteers. Researchers rubbed these tiny, bumpy particles on the skin to create microscopic punctures, aiming to see if this makes the skin more absorbent for future topical medications like creams or gels. The goal was to find the best way to apply the particles safely and comfortably, without using any actual medicine in this test.
