First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tested a special wheelchair that lets people with spinal cord injuries stand up and move around while standing. The goal was to see if using this chair at home and in the community helps veterans stand more often and feel better. Twenty-five veterans used either the new chair or a standard standing wheelchair for two months.
