First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special training and coaching program for supervisors (called COSTARS) can help keep caseworkers and peer mentors in their jobs longer and improve services for families. About 200 supervisors from Ohio child welfare agencies will either take part in the program or continue their usual practices. The goal is to see if better support for staff leads to faster help and better outcomes for families dealing with substance use and child maltreatment.
