New app trains students to be upstanders against bullying

NCT ID NCT05572398

Summary

This study tested a mobile web app version of a program that teaches middle school students how to safely intervene when they witness bullying. Over 600 students in four states participated to see if this online approach could be a practical and effective way to prevent bullying. The goal was to create a low-cost tool that schools, especially in rural or low-income areas, could use to empower students to support their peers.
