First seen Mar 14, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study tests a special nasal tube (ssNPA) that stays in place without tape or ties, designed to help children with weak throat muscles breathe easier during sleep. About 40 children with obstructive sleep apnea and conditions like Down syndrome will try the device overnight. The goal is to see if it reduces breathing pauses and improves sleep quality.
