Summary

This study tests a new device called SpydrBlade Flex for a procedure called POEM in people with achalasia, a condition that makes swallowing difficult. The device uses radiofrequency and microwave energy to cut muscle in the esophagus, helping food pass more easily. Researchers will check if the procedure is safe and effective in 73 adults, measuring symptom improvement and any complications.
