First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study translates and validates a Korean quality-of-life questionnaire (KOQUSS-40) for Spanish-speaking patients who had stomach cancer surgery. Researchers will enroll 505 adults who are at least one month past surgery and cancer-free. The goal is to create a reliable tool to measure how patients feel and function, which can be used in future clinical trials.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- What this could lead to
- If successful, this could provide a reliable Spanish-language tool to measure quality of life in stomach cancer survivors, helping future clinical trials better assess patient well-being.
- What could go wrong
- This is a validation study, not a treatment trial. It won't directly improve health, and the questionnaire may not capture all aspects of quality of life for every patient.
