First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 26 times

Summary

This study tests whether an AI-based tool called the Virtual Nodule Clinic can help doctors better manage lung nodules that are not clearly cancerous or benign. The tool analyzes CT scans and patient information to predict the risk of cancer. The goal is to reduce unnecessary procedures for harmless nodules and avoid treatment delays for cancerous ones. About 400 adults aged 35 and older with such nodules are taking part.
