Can a seaweed and mineral mix keep your arteries young?
NCT ID NCT03464760
Summary
This study tested whether a daily supplement containing spirulina (a type of algae) and silicon could improve the health and function of arteries in older adults. Researchers enrolled 120 healthy elderly participants to take either the supplement or a placebo for six months. They measured changes in blood vessel stiffness, blood pressure, and markers of inflammation to see if the supplement could help control age-related artery changes.
