Can spiritual care ease the emotional burden of advanced cancer?
NCT ID NCT07176559
Summary
This small pilot study is testing whether regular visits with a trained chaplain can improve spiritual wellbeing and reduce anxiety and depression in people with advanced lung or gastrointestinal cancer. It will compare the chaplain's spiritual care program to informational support sessions with a social worker. The main goal is to see if the spiritual care program is practical and acceptable to patients, and if it helps them feel better emotionally and spiritually.
