First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 26 times
Summary
This early study tested a 3D scanning device to see if it could accurately match a patient's spine during surgery to their pre-surgery MRI or CT scans. Only 2 people took part before the study was stopped. The goal was to help surgeons know exactly where to operate, but more research is needed.
