Back surgery trial questions need for spinal fusion

NCT ID NCT05273879

Summary

This study aims to find out if a simpler back surgery (decompression alone) works as well as a more complex surgery (decompression with spinal fusion) for treating single-level lumbar spinal stenosis. Researchers will compare the long-term results, including pain, disability, and quality of life, over two years in 86 patients. The goal is to provide clearer evidence to help doctors choose the best surgical approach.
