First seen Mar 24, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study tested whether combining a non-invasive spinal stimulation technique (repetitive transspinal magnetic stimulation) with treadmill walking can improve gait problems in people with Parkinson's disease. 76 participants with moderate Parkinson's and walking difficulties were randomly assigned to receive either real or sham stimulation during treadmill sessions. The goal was to see if the combination leads to faster, more stable walking and reduces fall risk.
