Zap to the back: could mild spinal stimulation help paralyzed patients walk again?
NCT ID NCT05700942
Summary
This study is testing whether a mild, non-invasive electrical stimulation applied to the spine can boost the benefits of walking rehabilitation for people with chronic, incomplete spinal cord injuries. Eighteen participants will receive either the real stimulation or a sham (fake) treatment during their walking therapy sessions to see if it helps them walk faster and with more endurance. The goal is to see if this combined approach is more effective than standard rehab alone.
