Zap the back? new hope for Parkinson's patients bent with pain

NCT ID NCT06291051

Summary

This study is testing whether a device that sends mild electrical pulses to the spinal cord is safe for Parkinson's patients who have a painful, forward-bending posture called camptocormia. The goal is to see if this stimulation can help reduce pain and improve posture when other treatments have failed. It will involve six participants and monitor them for about 10-11 months after the device is implanted.
