Spinal shot could ease pain after chest surgery

Summary
This study tests whether a small dose of morphine injected into the spinal fluid before chest surgery reduces pain and medication needs afterward. 90 adults having elective chest surgery will receive either the morphine injection or a placebo saline injection. Researchers will measure pain levels, medication use, and side effects to see if this approach improves recovery.
